Jewish Music Ensemble at New England Conservatory

  • New England Conservatory Pierce Hall 241 Saint Botolph Street Boston, MA, 02115 United States (map)

Join us for a fantastic evening of Jewish Music at New England Conservatory - ensemble coached by foremost Jewish Music expert and NEC Contemporary Improvisation Department chair and Klezmer Conservatory Band founder Hankus Netsky. The concert will include Klezmer, Yiddish folk songs, cantorial music, and more. I'll be singing two fantastic numbers inspired by the amazing cantor and Yiddish Theatre actor Moishe Oysher: Yiddish solo "Dos Keshenever Shtikele" with the full ensemble (and oy vey! I've put in a lot of work getting the feel for a big mouthful of Yiddish lyrics), and a very light and charming Hassidic duet using "Yiddish scat" syllables, joined by singer Eunjin Ahn and pianist Seyun Park.
