Selected performances by Ilona Tipp's voice students

Charlotte Dulay, Laurie Germain, Sydney Jarrett and Dominique Samuel: "Lift Every Voice and Sing" (James Weldon Johnson and John Rosamond Johnson / arr. Tipp) at St. George's School Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Chapel Service, 2013.

I arranged this work for these four voice students in this specific performance.

Soprano Emily Derecktor sings Mozart's "Queen of the Night" aria from The Magic Flute, to a recorded orchestral accompaniment. She worked on this and many other songs in a semester-long special project of intensive vocal study. Emily later had a chance to understudy this role at a summer opera program in Germany.

St. George's School (Middletown, RI), 2012

Soprano Grace Alzaibak demonstrates healthy belting in the Etta James R&B classic (and voice-student favorite) "At Last" by Mark Gordon and Harry Warren. Grace studied this and many other songs in a semester-long special project of intensive vocal study.

St. George's School (Middletown, RI), 2012

Tenor Ziye Hu sings "Being Alive" (Stephen Sondheim)

St. George's School (Middletown, RI), April 2013

Ziye was a serious student who wished to continue music and performance as a career. I taught and coached him through the college audition process, and Ziye attended New York University's Tisch School of the Arts with a concentration in Musical Theater.

Soprano Charlotte Dulay sings "Think of Me" (Andrew Lloyd Webber)

St. George's School, April 2013

Soprano Nicole Young performs "Lazy Afternoon" (John La Touche and Jerome Moross) via Barbara Streisand
